I had a PE in December 2022 but I'm still experiencing pain. I have been in hospital and further scans done and the original clot has gone, I would have never guessed 😂😂

Knowing if a PE has gone might depend on a few things like if the cause of the PE still exists, if you’ve been prescribed a blood thinner and how long you’ve been on it, and if you had any procedure to dissolve the blood clot if that’s what caused your PE.
