Looking for PTSD Treatment Options

Other than meds, are there other treatments that can help me? Groups? 1:1 therapy? I have Complex PTSD but it wasn’t a choice so I just did ptsd.

I see a naturopath every two weeks, she gives me reiki sessions, Bach’s remedy, and emotion code therapy. Otherwise I recommend hiking. Being out in nature is where the real healing happens :)

May I also recommend checking out self care apps like InnerHour and Wysa. Both are free (with some on app purchases) that have a lot of great resources and advice with grounding yourself and feeling more in the present. Best wishes to you 💕

I also watch Tanja Windeger on YouTube and follow her Facebook pages and groups. She breaks down CPTSD symptoms so they're easy to understand

As far as books go, there's a book called "The Complex PTSD Workbook" and it has a self guided approach to working through trauma. Another great resource is "The Body Keeps Score" by Wessel Van Der Kolk

I was recently hospitalized and did intensive outpatient therapy. I've always done CBT therapy in combination with several psychoanalytic therapies, but the most progress I've made is in dialectical behavioral therapy. Also learning about codependency and cognitive distortions really helped me to untangle the gaslighting from my toxic relationships.

Those are great! Thank you! I am in therapy once a week, and I do journal! I haven’t tried guided meditation though. I do progressive muscle relaxation and that seems to help too. I’ll have to give guided meditation a try! Thank you!

Currently I do therapy once a week, guided meditation (lots of great videos on YouTube!) mindful walks, guided yoga, journaling, and write down my gratitudes/wins of the day. I also treat myself as I would a vest friend. If I don't do something I planned to do, I give myself lots of forgiveness and compassion. I think that's very important when healing and going through the day to days
