no matter what i do i can't sleep for longer than an hour, the nightmares are terrible. is there anything that helps them? i'm even willing to think about trying ptsd specific meds at this point.

I am on Prazosin for PTSD and nightmares. I will say, yes, it helps me a great deal. 4mg nightly. I haven't been woken up by kicking and screaming since I started it

I dont know specifics. But I do know there are meds that will stop dreams. I too cannot sleep for longer than an hour at a time but I think it has more to do with my chemicals and less to do with my PTSD. I rarely have nightmares bc I dont sleep deep enough.
