Struggling with Believing My Delusions

can any other psychotic ppl tell sometimes that a delusion isnt real? like u dont believe it but. u Do. its hard 2 explain, its more like cognitive dissonance?

Yes! I'll think "no this isn't real, it's just a delusion" but then the other half of my mind says "but what if it's not and you're actually on to something?" and it just goes downhill from there šŸ˜…

Yes all the time. I had a doctor write me off when I explained this once told me I had overactive ocd because people with schizo ā€œdonā€™t know itā€™s not realā€ and I knew it was BS because my best friend has good days where he knows itā€™s not real. So just know itā€™s common. Sometimes they trick me though thatā€™s when itā€™s dangerous lol

Yes!! Iā€™m glad I found this post, I used to always wonder if I was just ā€œmaking up my illnessā€ if there was even a small part of me that didnā€™t buy into my delusions.

I think it's the paranoid thinking of mine. I know something isn't real, but then I question if I'm wrong and what happens if I'm wrong. I can't trust myself, haha.

Yea all the time. Its hard to explain but it happens to me too. Like i KNOW it aint real but i just go with it subconsciously
