I’m on spironolactone and that does the bulk of the work for my HS. On top of that I wear compression shorts basically all the time so my body never has the chance to rub against each other and be sweaty.

I am on a biologic injection called Cimzia, which I think has been helping. Got to a point where natural remedies just were not working. Its a little rough, but so far it's been less flares, and I've seen fewer bumps on my head. I wish there was a pill form tho.

Some people have found that using Hibiclens antiseptic wash, dial gold bar soap, all laundry PACs, and aluminum free deodorant can help reduce HS flares. Wearing looser and more breathable clothing, applying warm compresses on painful spots, and finding a dermatologist who specializes in HS can also be beneficial. For psoriasis, some have found relief by remaining stress-free, using topical treatments, drinking antioxidant supplements, and avoiding triggers such as alcohol and junk food. Using shampoo that is suitable for scalp psoriasis can also help.
