Can anyone tell me their experiences with taking Prozac? My doctor wants to add it to my other med for what he thinks could be effective in helping my GAD.

Working great for me. Some side effects that I found: heightened anxiety, nausea, insomnia for the first 2/3 weeks cuz the serotonin. Also I'm experiencing a loss of appetite which can happen for a few months of taking it. I just make sure to eat every four hours.

Works great for me. I can always tell when I haven't taken it.

I've been on it for 2 years now! I definitely noticed great changes, just don't try and go cold turkey if you ever wanna go off of it. I've had a few times where I've ran out and not taken it for a week or so and it was not fun. I'd recommend starting with a 10 or 15 mg dosage and seeing if that does enough, and stick to 20 or 25 mg unless its really not working. Then again, it could be due to my age, but higher doses also means ita harder to wean off of. Just work with your doctor and take things at your own pace!

it works great for me although it helps more with my depression then my anxiety, it does help with it I'm just really good at finding things to be anxious about šŸ˜… I'm also still able to function and care about things which is something i had a problem with on my old meds
