The emotional connection is wonderful but if you are having problems taking care of yourself daily or aren’t motivated to preform day to day tasks it might be difficult to add another being’s care into the mix. Puppies are a lot of work. The snuggles and love are unbeatable though. I hope you find a good match!

Train like your house depends on it. One of my (bfs) dogs isn't trained and she literally ate holes in my couch...

Dogs are great when you feel like you can’t take care of yourself. But hope that they are trained😩

They help a lot with depression and loneliness! Just make sure to do the proper research on the breed you want so you know how to care for them! Its a huge responsibility to take care of another living being. It'll help a lot with what I said before but just make sure you're ready to take that on. You need to be able to feed them and take them on walks and things like that everyday :)

my dog literally saved my life and got me through the worst of my depression and ptsd. They are amazing healers as stated above and they really do lift you out of the darkest corners 💜. Just know that a pet is much like a baby, and it does cost a bit to keep them. so if money is a stressor just know that going in. sending good vibes and love your way as you go through the process :)

I have a kitten and she is the absolute love of my life :) has done soooo much for me. I got her over a dog because of how I don’t need to take her outside, don’t need to worry about her barking, and don’t have to train her, but a dog is definitely in my future and if you have the means to care for a dog then I say 100% go for it!! Animals are the best healers 🤍

Dogs are amazing, and incredibly helpful for all sorts of things whether it's emotional support or service tasks. Just make sure you can handle the responsibility, they're generally a ~10 year or more commitment and they can get in the way of life sometimes, but they're so worth it if you can make it work

My furry baby is my best friend. She's there for me on good and bad days. Initially if you work a but extra to train them they grow up to be wonderful. I'm one of those people that thinks everyone needs a dog. I think it helps me when my depression is bad to know my fur baby is relying on me and loves me.

They are awesome - I been really lucky with the dogs I have gotten and they are very sweet. I am always worried I will get a dog and have house issues but if you take the time and train and let them know I feel like it can definitely be a positive thing. I hope this helps!
