Dealing with Productivity Guilt

Anyone else ever struggle with feeling so guilty if you aren’t getting stuff done? I planned to do multiple things today and enjoy time with family, and I can’t be up for long at all without just being done. And the guilt sucks.

Constantly then seeing people do all the things you just so want to do makes you feel more worse

My husband just told me a couple days ago I am lazy. So gilt is real.. People who don't have CRPS just don't get it. 😥

no they sure don’t!! I have the overwhelmed feeling right now partly because I have had a lot of things pile up on me after spinal fusion, part because my shoulder replacement is infected and I’m looking at at least three more surgeries and it’s killing me, and part because I’m having a CRPS spike in my knees and feet. Feel like my marriage is falling apart and I can’t do enough to get things back on track. So I’m with you all!!

One thing that helps me a LOT is breaking to do lists down to an extreme amount, because small things are hard for me and that way im able to cross more off, it’s more realistic to say “take dishes to the kitchen” “rinse dishes” “put dishes in dishwasher” “run dishwasher” and do the steps one at a time and cross them off rather than say “do dishes”

And if half of that gets done, it’s better than none if it getting done because it seemed too overwhelming and I️ got depressed about it

Yes! And the constant stress…knowing you should do something. Whether it’s light cleaning or unpacking a box or a wedding to go to, I stress so much leading up to something that I think I often make myself worse. It’s horrible
