Do You Pretend to Be Fine When You're Not?

Thank you for your respone . How are you doing today ? This week really stinks .I have been dealing with health issues a very long time . I just think people feel if I mention that i am not doing well it some how comes across as negative. So fine it is .Sprinkled with a good once in a great while. I honestly have closed myself off for years.

Yes I can say I do that very often because so many people don’t really want the truth. Even though I have shared things with people I thought could be trusted, suddenly they are telling me their whole life story and I feel like I have to comfort them. Very few people can truly GET it. By it I mean physical health issues as well ( and so completely hurtful mental suffering from PTSD and other things we may struggle with ) So yes I know what you mean and if you ever need a friend, I am here. How are you feeling today? What has you internally upset about this? Why do you find yourself saying you are okay if you are not? I’m so sorry you are going through this, and send my prayers. Perhaps you can get a journal and write about this so you can get a handle on why and when you do this. At the end of each journal entry, ask yourself what you really want to do. And close your eyes, go to a safe place and whisper ( why did I do that? )
