Pressure around eyes due to overuse of jaw muscles?

My dentist believes my case involves the masseter muscle more than the jaw joint itself so apologies if this is in the wrong section. My question is if anyone has noticed pressure around/behind their eyes in correlation with the overuse of their jaw muscles? (My overuse is most likely a result of clenching my jaw due to anxiety)

Yes actually. I too have been told my masters are the main problem. It’s known to cause pressure behind eyes and in some cases blurred vision. I’ve only had tmj for 2.5 years, so I’m not quite an expert yet. So sorry you’re going through this, I know how hard it is <3

Pain and tightness in my massetor muscles is a HUGE part of my TMJ symptoms. I've also experienced an overlap of sinus and TMJ symptoms; that the sinus infection (a common cause of pressure behind the eye) also agitates my TMJ symptoms more than normal.

Same, and that TMJ makes it feel like I have a sinus or ear infection sometimes, which is confusing!

Yes. It usually triggers my TMJ, which triggers my trigeminal neuralgia. The jaw meets near the ear, where the trigeminal nerves meet.

✋ Yes, I experience that. Because of clenching/grinding due to anxiety, if there's a muscle from my neck up that can ache or feel pressure, it does.
