Pregnancy and POTS: How Does It Affect Symptoms?

Is anyone with POTS here pregnant or has been since having POTS? If so, how did that effect your symptoms? With my first pregnancy my symptoms went away completely, but with this second pregnancy a lot of my symptoms have worsened. I would love to hear everyone else's experience on this

      I was pregnant twice and my symptoms were different each time. Definitely just take really good care of yourself if you can as that makes a big difference

        @Kristin1389 we've been marked as high risk because of my pots and previous miscarriages, but definitely take it one day at a time and try not to over do it. Thankfully we're getting moved to a downstairs apartment next week

          @Blobster oh yeah the previous miscarriages make it high risk. I don’t think the pots really affects a ton about pregnancy risk wise but it can make you feel not so good. Just make sure to stay hydrated as best you can

      Hey I have POTS and I’m currently pregnant I’m on a beta blocker and I was told that is fine so long as the dose is low. My POTS symptoms have definitely worsened during the 2nd trimester but also I work a lot and stand all day so I can’t tell what it is probably the standing. What are you symptoms like?

        @Cantfindlaura the main symptoms that have worsened have been the lightheadedness and fainting. They occur much easier and hit a lot harder for sure

          @Blobster pregnant women have an increase in blood volume so that could be why. Are you on any medication?
