Struggling to get pregnant while weaning off Adderall

I am on adderall and I’m trying to get pregnant. My psychiatrist says I can’t be on adderall when I’m pregnant and I’ve been weaning off, but I am STRUGGLING. I don’t have an appointment for a couple months, but I was wondering if you guys were on anything for ADHD that your doctors were okay with during pregnancy that WORKED? I’ve been trying to get pregnant for a year, and I cannot keep up with this less/no medication at all thing for another year. I work and I’m going back to school in the fall, and it’s seriously effecting me. I also want my future child to be okay.

I went from 40 to 20, and it’s not perfect by any means, but it’s honestly better than taking nothing. I’m also having a hard time trying to get pregnant, so I don’t want to go through the process of withdrawal then continue struggling with work/life in general for god knows how long. My doctor is literally refusing to prescribe it anymore if I get pregnant. My ob might be a little more lenient because I’m sure she’s had patients on it still. I’m hopeful.🤞🏻

I have friends that took some Ritalin during pregnancy, they were also told it's not great in pregnancy but their babies turned out fine. I guess you should try to lower it to as much as you can live with.

I’m in the same boat with Ritalin. My Ob sent me to a MFM (maternal fetal medicine) where I will have an assessment and I hope create a plan. It sucks waiting for an appt.
