Prediabetes after COVID: Should I be concerned?

Has anyone developed prediabetes after COVID? I've had high fasting numbers before COVID but the doctors never cared about them even when I questioned it. I was told it was common for someone overweight with symptoms of PCOS. But after COVID checking my blood sugar seems to be something they keep wanting to do. I feel the differences depending on some meals or if I fast too long for any reason. More than before COVID. I just moved and really don't know what I should address with a new doctor.

I am actually borderline underweight and every single doctor has tested me for diabetes and my tests seemed fine. This makes me wonder if Long Covid symptoms are very similar or if there is a correlation with blood sugar.. My symptoms/episodes seem to be similar to hypoglycemia so there could be something there I actually haven’t been checking my blood sugar levels but I might now
