Frustrated with POTS Diagnosis Criteria

Welp I'm back at the ER I fainted and bonked my head decently bad I'm annoyed though because I was told yet again my hr wasn't abnormal enough for pots though it was steady in 111 to 125s with just a little bit of dipping to regular pulse when the ems came to get me is there an actual threshold number for diagnosis? How far off am I?

Tilt table test is the only way to diagnose pots because once you sit down/lie down, your heart rate returns to normal so they think you’re fine in a hospital

yeah I've done the tilt table once already and I did faint but the doctors accused me of fake fainting because I never fully went out even though I had a positive test cause my heart rate was wack

You need a positive tilt table test. That’s what I got to get my diagnosis

i did a tilt table test, and fainted. The doctor proceeds to tell me its normal for "young women" to faint sometimes 😩

Cardiologists have more strict criteria for the heartbeat and the blood pressure for a pots diagnosis then do autonomic dysfunction specialist because they realize there's so much more to it than just that

I'll make sure I mention that when I get to my new doctor!

Have you been tested for Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia? That's what I have, but Alike made me put it under POTS

yes that was my initial diagnosis as well but then I realized it was pots and then my symptoms all shifted a little bit and now I'm dealing with mast cell.

I don't think so my cardiologist still doesn't believe me that I'm actually having these issues haha 😅 I'll be sure to mention it though! I know they did a stress test on me and a tilt table but that's about it
