Welp I'm back at the ER I fainted and bonked my head decently bad I'm annoyed though because I was told yet again my hr wasn't abnormal enough for pots though it was steady in 111 to 125s with just a little bit of dipping to regular pulse when the ems came to get me is there an actual threshold number for diagnosis? How far off am I?

@MrsHill0625 i did a tilt table test, and fainted. The doctor proceeds to tell me its normal for "young women" to faint sometimes 😩

Tilt table test is the only way to diagnose pots because once you sit down/lie down, your heart rate returns to normal so they think you’re fine in a hospital

@Smoores yeah I've done the tilt table once already and I did faint but the doctors accused me of fake fainting because I never fully went out even though I had a positive test cause my heart rate was wack

@Leaf98 Plus they said it couldn't be pots because my bloodpreasure was up 🤷‍♀️

You need a positive tilt table test. That’s what I got to get my diagnosis

Cardiologists have more strict criteria for the heartbeat and the blood pressure for a pots diagnosis then do autonomic dysfunction specialist because they realize there's so much more to it than just that

@Wondercell I'll make sure I mention that when I get to my new doctor!

Have you been tested for Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia? That's what I have, but Alike made me put it under POTS

@Gunnar yes that was my initial diagnosis as well but then I realized it was pots and then my symptoms all shifted a little bit and now I'm dealing with mast cell.

@Gunnar I don't think so my cardiologist still doesn't believe me that I'm actually having these issues haha 😅 I'll be sure to mention it though! I know they did a stress test on me and a tilt table but that's about it
