I would suggest finding a neurologist and cardiologist that both agree to run a tilt table test :)

You are best seeing a cardiologist or a neurologist that can perform a tilt table test. N

it might also be helpful to find a doctor listed on dysautonomiainternational.org!

i concur with a neurologist or cardiologist! i personally had a better experience with my electrophysiologist vs a regular cardiologist, but the other comments are giving GREAT advice!

In my experience, seeing a cardiologist is kinda hit or miss. Cardiologists are great if you have any kind of structural defects or blockages. They handle the "plumbing" of the heart. EPs or Electrophysiologists specialize in the electrical pathways of the heart, so they have a bit more knowledge and can better detect and understand abnormalities in heart rhythm (like a spike in heart rate upon standing). A neurologist is an excellent choice aswell because POTS is a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, right up a neurologists alley! Good luck!! I hope this diagnosing process is super fast for you!! 🙏❤️

Dysautonomia International has Facebook groups for different regions, and I found my doctors by asking for recommendations there. Once you find a doctor who can take you through the diagnostic process, they'll probably make sure there's no structural issues that could explain your symptoms or abnormal heart rhythms. Usually they'll have you do a stress test with an echocardiogram, and have you wear a 30 day heart monitor. If those come back clear (aside from maybe lots of tachycardia recorded on the heart monitor) they can order a tilt test. That's the most common diagnostic test for pots

@hazyeclipse that's how I got it but without the stress test

I saw a neurologist who referred me to a cardiologist for testing. However, the only doctor I talked to was the neurologist.

This is the expert for pots and eds in my area. He even explains it in this article if you scroll down. https://franklincardiovascular.com/autonomic-dysfunction-philadelphia/

I would suggest to see specifically an electrocardiologist
