Possible Eating Disorder: Extreme Appetite Loss

I suspect that I may be acquiring an eating disorder. Honestly I'm just not hungry. I get by on beverages, bread, and yogurt. A few months ago someone said I looked pregnant and I haven't really had an appetite since then. I experienced this extreme appetite loss once before 7 years ago during a very traumatic series of events. I lost 30 lb in a few months. What should I do? Do not tell me to see a doctor...

I have the same issue. I don't eat anything during the day at all. I just drink one can of diet coke in the morning and 24 oz. Of water during the day and another can of diet coke around 5pm which is the time I will actually eat a very small dinner and then drink more water. I've been doing this since the beginning of December last year and I went from 200 pounds to 160 pounds. When I talked to my regular Dr about it she didn't seem concerned at all. She just said that I should be happy with the weight loss. Also during the day if I try to eat something I also get very sick to my stomach and sometimes throw up what I tried to eat and my doctor just gave me zofran to help me from throwing up

I feel the same. I’m just not hungry. I’ve started setting timers on when to eat. I’m still trying to figure out what to eat… nothing Ever sounds good. Sometimes I’ll go over a day without eating… just drinking a lot of water.. I end up gaining weight . I’ve read up on metabolism and I think my body is in starvation mode 😥

Literally see a doctor. Why would you not want that? And talk to an eating disorder specialist and get a therapist. Some doctors are ignorant about eating disorders, an ED in a patient could be very severe and the doctor will encourage it because it leads to weight loss, and the medical bias is that being smaller is what's best.t which isn't true. Dude you can't get better without the help of providers so unless you want to spiral into a full blown eating disorder see a medical professional. You might need meds. You def need therapy
