Positive Covid Test and Unbearable Pain

I tested positive for Covid on an at home test after being exposed and my body is reacting fierce. I thought it was just a really bad flare up but the pain is unreal! Have any of you experienced anything like this?

My Fibro always flares up when I’m sick. I always double up my vitamin C and not just for the sickness but for the pain too. I also take Turmeric twice a day. I know keeping up with vitamins when you don’t feel well is hard. I ordered the HERO medicine machine to manage my vitamins and meds. It’s $29.99 a month and worth every penny. You don’t own the machine so if it malfunctions or breaks they just send a new one. It’s cheaper than any other machine on the market and it has really helped me stay consistent with my vitamins

It’s definitely scary when you get a big flare spike out of seemingly no where. I hope you find some relief soon 💕

Thank you for all your responses. I know I’m definitely having flare up symptoms and I just have never had them feel this intense. I’ve had some pretty intense flares and had to take large amounts of steroids to bring it down and even that wasn’t this bad.

I had excruciating pain when I got Covid last March. My joints, migraine, and nerve pain in my abdomen were terrible

I have had Covid twice. Most recently I had Covid on. NYE and am just now getting better with symptoms. Each time I got Covid it flared up my nerves especially and my hormones and caused anxiety and anxiety attacks, heart palpitations, muscle weakness, jittering, fatigue, neuropathy pain, and inflammation in my muscles and joints. I also had three week long periods since May of last year after having Covid the first time last February. The pain was definitely a lot. I’ve been doing some research online and there are cases of people having pain in their muscles and joints as a result of Covid because the virus can cause the body to attack itself in different ways and can stimulate a widespread immune response throughout the body that can also cause muscle and joint pain. So basically the virus can affect people differently and especially immunocompromised people who’s bodies already have a predisposition to respond a certain way when it’s under stress in attempt to regulate itself.

I’m going through the same thing right now but I tested negative. About two weeks ago out of no where my joint pain and leg muscle weakness skyrocketed. Several of my coworkers tested positive so I’m still not sure if COVID is making my fibro flare like this or something else, but I’ve never had fibro related leg pains this badly before. Couldn’t even sleep with a weighted blanket because it felt like it was push my knees out of position.
