Popping sensation in my neck

For some reason on the right side of my neck in the lower area every time I press down I feel like somethings popping in and out of place I don’t know if it’s a bone or not i had an X-ray and it didn’t show up and it feels odd when I touch that area , how should I tell my doctor about this without her suggesting another x-ray?

Can you help? connect today

I would get an mri because it could be a disc in your neck

ok and does an X-ray show that it can be a disc because it showed up nothing but I can feel it maybe I should talk to her about mri

It may not be a bone, but a tendon or really tight muscle that's moving when you push it. If it's moving in and out of the same place and doesn't feel like it's really shifting much and the x-ray was normal, a tendon is a more likely culprit

I do no X-ray are not always accurate so I’ll go with the mri to be on the safe side because Iv been experiencing other pain along with it and tendon pain shouldn’t be chronic I think mri is the best rout but thanks
