Is there any other treatment option for pmdd? I am lost and feel alone.

If you can't use medical marijuana, CBD oil supplements (like capsule vitamins) daily might be worth a shot to bring down the pain and inflammation and mood swings a bit. I agree, it's disheartening when half the gyneocologists I go to have never even heard of PMDD and I've only found moderate relief with nerve pain and migraine meds.

I know this may not be for some women or their views but marijuana helps me greatly. Especially when I'm in a rage or feel a rage coming. A couple puffs of a vape and I'm relaxed.

@AliAsh the downside is marijuana can really screw with someone who struggles with mood disorders or anxiety. Not an option for me but I can't speak as to how well it works otherwise

@mynewfriend Yeah I could see that. I had bad social anxiety at first when I started it but I started to manage the feeling I guess because taking away the rage was more important. I know it's not for everybody. Definitely not a one size fit all disorder which really sucks!

If the youtube video doesn't link, it's by Tracey Marks, 'If You Suffer from Premenstrual Dysphoria...'

There's a few things you can try. For me, coming off birthcontrol helped. Most doctors recommend an anti depressant, but there is a birth control (Yaz) approved for PMDD and some other options, including life style changes, dietary changes, and supplements. I had to go through a ton of obgyns and gp's before any suggested an antidepressant. This is where I initially found some of the other information: https://youtu.be/6eToeyIls94

I wish there was more research on PMDD. I’ve really been struggling with it this week. Things that help me: heating pad, noise-cancelling headphones, smoothies, self-compassion, my s/o, hot showers. I hope you feel some relief soon.
