Is Physical Therapy Worth the Pain?

I am taking physical therapy to help with the pain but I find I hurt more in the days after the therapy but I have noticed it helped with some things. My question I guess is..... Is it worth it to keep going? Will it actually help?

Sounds like it would be helpful if that's what has been recommended. You will hurt a bit more afterwards because you have been pushing your body to do things you wouldn't normally do. But stick with it. I'm sure you'll see some benefits soon :)

Yes it is worth it. Unless you are causing actual damage or hurting yourself. It took me 2 years to walk without a limp. I worked real hard to increase my mobility and eventually it worked 💪

I had this happen too and I tired to push through it. I went for months and unfortunately for me I found out the physical therapy was actually causing more pain then helping. I am now going to acupuncture and using herbs and I feel so much better.

It’s worth trying for several sessions to try and figure out is it hurting because my body is not used to this or is it hurting because it’s actually making things worse. Also definitely talk to your PT about it as well, sometimes they can bump down the intensity with your feedback and make it a much better experience

This is tricky especially because for some people physical therapy helps and for others it makes things worse. It could be worth it if it’s ongoing.. I think what worries me (for me) is that will the pain be worse if you stop. I hope this makes sense 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣

I would stick with it. I do alot of dry needling. It is amazing, but I do hurt worse sometimes for a day or 2 after.. its nice to feel a different kind of pain, to me, I'm weird...but I feel like sometimes ya gotta beat pain w pain.. I know it makes no sense, but what does with our conditions. Do what works for you!
