Physical pain due to emotional stress

Does anyone else feel physical pain because of emotional stress? If I upset someone and get yelled at - my chest hurts. I get very real pain in the left side of my chest and my left arm will go numb. It will last at least a few hours. When I get really depressed or cry a lot, my chest hurts then too. I'm in my 20s and it happens like twice a week- or I find myself faced with something super stressful twice a week. It's almost like my stress is killing me. Does anyone else experience this? What is it? What do I do?

The same thing happened to me, I made myself sick because of the stress I was put through. It started with chest pains then stomach pains then pain everywhere and I would throw up. I don't want to scare you because this was the most traumatic thing I ever went through but you need to tell a medical professional before it gets worse. Maybe a psychiatrist can prescribe you something for your anxiety. I take Venlafaxine which has helped tremendously with my Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Ever since then I haven't had any pain due to anxiety and I rarely get anxiety anymore. Good luck love! 💕

It’s very normal for people with anxiety to experience physical pain and symptoms from it. Often time anxiety makes us tense up without know and does lots of weird things to our body. Usually nothing to worry about. I get chest pain all the time and muscle pain from being so tense. Only thing to really be done is finding ways to cope with the anxiety.
