How to Get a Permanent Disability Placard for Fibromyalgia?

I am trying to secure a permanent disabled placard due to my disability. I have fibromyalgia and I currently have Kaiser insurance. I am undergoing treatment for a foot injury with the inability to walk no more than 2 hours without a cane. My primary care doctor will only give me a temporary placard and then extend the placard as the injury is treated. How do I get them to give me a permanent placard?

Use another doctor. My primary care doctor wouldn't give me a handicap placard so I asked my back doctor for one and she gave me a letter to get one.

I appreciate you. I keep running into road blocks and cannot get any help from my doctors. I am so frustrated 🥲

Not sure they give it permanently for FM… I got mine but I have lymphedema AND arthritis on my spine. I can’t walk more than 10 minutes without being in excruciating pain

May I ask which doctor assisted you with the issuing of the placard?
