Struggling with Period Pain and Upcoming Surgery

I'm on the first day of my period. I feel so heavy, tired. It is hard to move. I have to take an acetaminophen/hydrocodone mix to ease the pain. I have to go to work. idk how to keep going. I have surgery in a few weeks. will it help?

Most obgyn do not do excision surgery to remove endo. They just take off /burn the first layer of it. It’s like a iceberg. And they take the top orbit off. But there’s still more under the surface. And excision specialist will remove ALL of it. By cutting it away. Trust me my pain is back because I didn’t know about excision specialists. I would’ve gone to one if I had known. Success rate is way higher. Check out Nancy’s nook. https://nancysnookendo.com/find-a-doctor/

I’m scheduled for endo laparoscopy surgery soon. My doctor and others I’ve talked to that have had it said the recovery is really rough. So I put mine off until I can mentally handle more pain. Sounds like it’s one that gets worse before better. I’ve heard after a few months, the surgery is worth it though. I don’t say this to scare you but just in case no one has mentioned the bad part so you can prepare. I’ve had too many procedures where doctors haven’t told me I could possibly feel much worse and it’s really messed me up by not scheduling properly around that possibility. I really hope you get relief from it! So sorry it’s that bad. Sounds like you’re doing your best and attempting to get help and it won’t always be this hard or this bad… that’s what I tell myself.
