Struggling with PCOS and Weight Loss

I have a more severe case of PCOS with insulin resistance. I am really struggling with losing weight. Seems no matter what I do, I gain and don't lose. My Dr suggested Ozempic to help with my imbalanced endocrine system, but wants me to wait til I see an endocrinologist. Has anyone had good results on Ozempic? Bad side effects? Weight loss? Has anyone had a better experience with a different medication for weight-loss and insulin resistance? I'm on metformin for insulin resistance but they can't do the dose any higher than 1000 because it causes major blood sugar drops. I need some help with this weight, it's really causing problems and I feel like I've tried almost everything to lose it...

My partner has been on Ozempic since July of last year for her diabetes, with The medication and a low carb diet she has dropped 60lbs and is keeping it off, as well as her A1C has gone from a 14.7 to a 6.3. The only side effect she is having is gas, mostly burping(the medication slows down your stomach and can cause gas from food sittingin it longer), they have prescribed her omeprazole though and it has really helped.

I am on Ozempic with crazy bad PCOS /insulin resistance. I am going up to .5mg this week. I have only lost 7 pounds in a month even after dieting. Its been slow bc of the insulin levels but Im hoping its faster when I go up tomorrow.

I took actos, which helped me to reduce some weight. The only problem I have with this drug is that it causes edema. So I lost a few pounds, but I have this swelling because of its side effects

How did you find out you were insulin resistant? I also struggle to lose weight so I try to follow a low carb diet.

fasting glucose blood test divided by fasting insulin blood test. If its under 7 you are insulin resistant

The one thing that has helped me the most is taking inositol and being on a low carb gluten free dairy free diet. I dropped over 40 pounds in 6 months

I’m on Metformin for insulin resistance but from research I read on the topic I saw that metformin combined with GLP-1 receptor agonists(ozempic) is given to girls with obesity and pcos. My friend is taking Ozempic and lost around 40 lbs in 9 months. She said that she suffered from nausea in the beginning and now she doesn’t have any side effects
