I was told that you can't get rid of it, but can treat the symptoms. I was prescribed Metformin and recommended a low carb high fat diet for weight regulation. My gyno at the time also prescribed a progesterone pill to regulate my cycles and then clomid to help with ovulation. But you can only take the clomid so many times she said. They also offered to refer me to a fertility specialist. But I wasn't ready for that so I ordered at home ovulation tests and a thermometer to measure basal body temperature to track fertility. It was working pretty well for me, just no pregnancy because my partner changed his mind about a baby. :/ good vibes for your journey though

I have both PCOS and Type 2 Diabetes. I started taking an injectable diabetes medication called Byetta, and within a few weeks my periods were regular for the first time in my life without birth control. A few months later with the help of Clomid my husband and I were able to conceive a baby. ❤️
