I have taken metformin 1000mg twice a day for over 20 years. Unfortunately I still have so many issues from PCOS. I cannot take any birth controls due to high BP.

it’s mainly a type 2 diabetes med. It helps a little with general symptoms and you might have to take it since PCOS is related to insulin resistance. It’s honestly up to you. If your fine, you don’t need it. That’s up to you and your doctor. I’m taking 500 mg pills and those things are MASSIVE and they also taste gross as hell. Metformin also notably cuts your appetite. Nausea and diarrhea are common as well. I’m on 2 daily. I had to drop down to one again for a few months since the first time I tried it, I was gagging after a few days on half a chipotle bowl and like 4 cookies. So it’s not for
