How do I get a new doctor to test me for PCOS without ruling out anything that they could consider as well? So stressed just thinking about seeing a gp tomorrow. I'm not going on birth control, so I don't even know what they'll suggest

They can figure it out from a simple blood test. They just need to be looking. Thats how my doctor picked mine up. Id been complaining of pain for a while but my pregnancy a couple of years ago "flushed me out" so it only just showed up recently. Definitely say "hey im worried i have pcos could we do a blood test to see if i have any indicators?" Then go from there

One of the replies suggests calling the office ahead of time and asking them if they work with hormone imbalances. After a quick conversation, it's usually pretty easy to tell if an appointment there is worth your time and money or not. Another reply suggests being extremely picky when it comes to doctors and specialists. If you don't like them the first time, chances are you won't later either.
