For some spotting between periods is completely normal but if you think you may have pcos go ahead and talk to a gynecologist about your concerns. They will be able to say if it is normal or if they may be worried about something like pcos. Oh and if you are on birth control such as depo or iud it is also normal. I know the first time I spotted on my depo I got scared but its just the body doing its job. Hope you get all the answers you need. Have a wonderful day.

@monkey1 thank you! i know it’s normal for some people. i was recently diagnosed with pcos and right now i’m trying to understand what is caused by that and what is caused by something else.

Yepppppp all the time! It’s sooooo frustrating!
Yes. Instead of a full period I get random spotting a week of more frequent spotting and then some times I can go weeks without any... it's crazy irritating

@KTTabbs this sound exactly like me! i have a period every 6 months or so, and in between i can sometimes be spotting for a month every single day! it’s so frustrating
I believe I have PCOS. I have all the symptoms except for having cysts on my ovaries. But yes, I have frequent spotting. It's really annoying
@SueLaBear you cant have polycystic ovarian syndrome without the cysts on your ovaries. that's like saying you have a brain tumor because you have all the symptoms but without the tumor. i would talk to an obgyn on what your symptoms are and hopefully they can help you.

@finn33 I should have made it plain. I got all the testing done. Except for checking for cysts. The Doctor refused to test for cysts. So yes, I show every symptom. I don't know about the cyst because the doctor refused to check. So I'm going to a new doctor to get the tests done again including checking for cysts.
@finn33 this is not true at all. You can have pcos and not have cysts. Cysts are just one of the many symptoms of pcos.
