Looking for a PCOS Specialist in Ohio

Hello I am looking for a PCOS Specialist… I know this is OBGYN or and Endocrinologist. Has anyone been able to find a PCOS specialist that can help reverse symptoms? Also if any is in the OHIO area and can recommend a doctor specifically — I’d be forever grateful!

OBGYN should really not try to heal PCOS its a matter for the endocrinologist. it has helped me to become asymptomatic.

I was told that basically I can take Metformin to help ease some symptoms but that's all they can do. One OB told me hormone therapy but I am in my 30s and apparently that isn't something they are willing to do for someone my age. I guess I have to hit menopause first. Metformin made me so sick to my stomach that I couldn't even leave my house, So they said I had an allergy to it and discontinued use. Good luck.

metformin is killer! It can help but it isn't worth the side effects!.

thank you for sharing your experience. My endo has told me the side effects of metformin can be worse than PCOS symptoms and doesn’t recommend many to go on it unless they are trying to conceive. I dunno my partake on medicine is the less I am on the better… I really need to educate myself more on PCOS and natural ways to ease my symptoms. Thank you for sharing 💜

My Ob/Gyn didn't diagnosed me, A Endo did, I was told, to educate myself in it, but it's non reversible. PCOS caused years and years of abnormal paps, facial hair, abnormal period, severe clots, high BP, diabetes, IBS, weight gain until the Endo named it

thank you for the insights! I have an endo now… their focus is more on self education and lifestyle changes.
