Looking for advice on Metformin for PCOS

I've currently been looking into getting put on Metformin for my PCOS. I think im managing well, but I think I have some insulin resistance issues that could be solved. I'm 19 and currently attending college, where I do a lot of walking. I would appreciate it if anyone who is on/has been on Metformin could tell me how it affected them/if it helped the symptoms of PCOS. :)
