My PCOS Diagnosis and Unprotected Sex Experience

Hi guys. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011, I have had irregular menstruation since then. However in the past one year my period were within 45 days of gap. Although, I had unprotected sex and decided not to take plan b. I did a home test pregnancy a few times (it was negative), I also went to an urgent care and did a blood test, it showed 3 hcg level which is negative. Although it’s been 3 months since the intercourse and still no period. I have an appointment with my gynecologist coming Wednesday. Have you gone through something similar? I know it was a dumb of me to not take precautions and I regret it. Can sex cause changes in your hormones? I am sure my doctor will be doing an ultrasound.

PCOS is very unpredictable. You can never say anything in particular caused delay in your periods. Don't take stress until you see your doctor. And I am sure you will feel better once you go to OBGYN. It's very stressful I understand. Hope you get your period soon.

Hi. It had happened to me for several times. If my period is too late I go to see my OBGYN. They do the pregnancy test and sometimes more test to find out what's going on and might give medication to induce period.
