Help! I Smell Like Dead Fish Because of My PCOS

Hi guys I really need ideas. with my pcos I find i have a terrible smell basically i smell like dead fish I hate it and worst part is when people come up to me and whisper "I just wanted you to know but you need a shower." this makes me upset and embarrassed as they don't know what I have gone through. I have tried diet, tons of different deodorants and different body washes. It is worse around period time as the hormones are worse then. If anyone has any ideas I would really appreciate it as I am tired of people telling me what I already know and honestly I cant stand the smell too. Thankyou for any information

Have you tried the depo shot for birth control? It stops the period and pretty much eliminated my hormonal changes. I've been told I stink too and it hurts. Before I see someone I shower, use smelly bodywash, new underwear, and perfume just so they don't say anything.

yes I use the depo shot. It works really well for me except for the smell.

You could try taking probiotics!

A fishy smell can be caused by bacterial vaginosis. A trip to the dr and an antibiotic will take care of it if that's the cause.

it is not bacterial unfortunately that would be easier to fix. It is from hormones

I keep flushable wipes in my bag and then I also will use summers eve wipe towelettes if it's been a hot day. And I recently changed to using a menstrual cup because you don't travel to deal with sitting in a pool of your own blood all day and you don't deal with pee string either AND you can wear it for 12 hours before you have to change it. So all day at school or work and I've never had it leak before. You can get them on Amazon I got 2 for 10$

i won't need the menstrual cup as I do not have a period. We stopped it on purpose for me as I became extremely anemic from my period but I will try the wipes.

Have you been checked for different infections like anything even a UTI. Most infections cause funky smells. If you haven't recently been checked for all sorts of infections maybe you need to see if that could be what is wrong so you can get medicine to help it

i have not been checked for infections this time but the last few times I was and there was no infection. The only thing they say is its due to hormones and I can use birth control to control the hormones as best as it can.
