Can PCOS be diagnosed with a blood test?

I was telling a new doctor that an ultrasound showed PCOS and she asked if I'd had a blood test to diagnose it. Is there a blood test that can diagnose PCOS? It seems like my doctors don't want to add PCOS to my chart and I wonder if it's because I haven't had the blood test.

An ultrasound will show the cysts but a blood test will show testosterone levels. Its called a herituism test i believe.

They can test for levels of hormones with a blood test but usually an ultrasound will be a confirmed diagnosis, I'm having the exact opposite problem where they won't ultrasound me but my blood tests show weird levels

Sorry to hear that. I had an ultrasound for a cyst on my cervix and it was just a coincidence that it showed cysts in my ovaries, as well. I hope you can get a diagnosis.
