Advice on Paying for a Service Dog for POTS

I’m currently looking into a service dog for a few of my conditions, but specifically POTS. Is there any advice on how to pay for it? I’m currently unable to work so I would need to fundraiser or something. Thanks in advance 💖

I know a few people who do gofundme’s! I think it also depends on what kind of dog you’re looking for and if you plan on getting one from a program or training it yourself! I have a service dog for POTS as well!

I found a program where they can train the puppy up to 6 months but it’s too expensive and I want the pup to get used to me before that so I was looking at them training the pup up to either 12 weeks or 16 weeks but I’m looking at $8,500-$11,500. Did you get your doctor to sign off on it as well?

Oh dang. Ya that’s a lot of money.. I would try setting up a good fund me! I did! He originally was purely psychiatric but once I started getting sick he transitioned more into medical for my POTS. So my therapist and mental health team signed off but my cardiologist also agrees it’s very helpful to have since I’m not if or when I could have an episode and faint
