I did in-patient and it was so scary and I didnt belong there, I had to advocate for myself to be discharged bc people talked to themselves and were acting crazy and I just needed intensive therapy (the hospital I went to did even provide group or individual therapy) so I am looking for a therapist to work with on my own now

that sounds good for you… I also had to advocate to get discharged while I was in 2 out of the 3 times because the atmosphere was wrong for me at the time… I also am someone who “talks to themselves” and is “crazy” when I am having auditory and visual hallucinations as well as delusions and disorganized thought and there is nothing wrong with belonging there. Everyone belongs if they need intensive therapy or php for whatever the reason. Regardless of what you’re going through, we all belong in a place with no judgement.
