My Experience with Paratubal Cysts and Endometriosis

I’ve had ovarian cysts for as long as I can remember. About 6 months ago, my doctors found a paratubal cyst (a cyst that forms in your fallopian tube) as they were doing ultrasounds and other things for a possible endometriosis diagnosis. Anyone else have any experience with paratubal cysts? The doctor said the only way to get rid of it is to surgically remove it, but that feels like a big risk if I don’t have to, especially because it’s still pretty small. However it causes me a decent amount of pain especially during my endo flare ups. I’m 24 and have no idea what I want for my life and I feel like I have to start thinking about and making choices regarding things I don’t feel ready to tackle.

Consult an excision surgeon. You can find one through Nancy’s Nook Endometriosis Education page on Facebook. Endo is a surgical treatment anyways, so you might as well consult the best type of surgeon who can likely help you with both.

p.s. I am also 24 and I’m 2 endo surgeries in, have PCOS alongside and a bunch of other diagnosis sprinkled in. I’m happy to chat if you need someone to talk through things with :)
