Panic Disorder and Eating Disorders: What's the Connection?

Hello! I am Rose. I'm 18 years old. I suffer with Panic disorder/attacks. I actually wondered why I cannot eat without panicking? everytime I eat, I panick over some situations or even just out of blue and throw up or either push my dish away. Could this result in anxiety or a ED (eating disorder) ?? please, and thanks for your time!

I get anxiety when I eat because my heart rate increases. It's totally normal for it to happen, as your body is pumping blood to your stomach. But my brain equates fast heart = danger =panic. Eating smaller meals and eating slower is what has been recommended to me too many times to count. It helps to an extent. I don't personally throw up but I do end up getting acid reflux or annoying amount of burps that I have to stretch and drink water to get up.

Happened 2 me around your age. It definitely started b/c of my anxiety. I am unsure about your situation but I didn't want 2 eat b/c I felt like I was choking.

I have severe pseudodysphagia. Eatting is difficult cause I'm terrified of choking. It stems from my PTSD of an accident when I was a child and clinically lost my life. Years of therapy, and safe foods. Some textures I can't swallow at all without panicking. If I feel it in my throat or my body recognizes I didn't chew something completely, my body goes into full flight mode. It exhausts me. It's so hard to keep weight on.
