I also don't get the hyperventilating. I get this sudden intense fear and I need to get out and away. Weird things can set off the panic. Even situations I'm used to. Sometimes it causes me to just sob when I'm alone as soon as I escape. And I don't even know why I'm crying but I can't stop. And get headaches from the crying.

oh wow! I kind of feel like the crying is really good! There’s a lot of pent up energy there. Crying is such a big outlet. I know the headaches are no good but when you cry for a long time the facial and head muscles tense up causing a tension headaches . I know it’s hard to do, especially when your crying,, but if you can think about relaxing some of the muscles on your head. You’d be surprised how many muscles are used in crying. I really hope things get better sooner than later 😥

Panic attacks can have all kinds of weird symptoms - I suffer with general anxiety and health anxiety, and when the health anxiety first started up I used to feel weird tingling sensations in my head which were HORRIBLE, and in turn fed more into the health anxiety as I convinced myself there was a health issue in my brain (I spiral when in that mental state), but they turned out to be my anxiety manifesting itself in a strange scary way, and after having CBT and getting things under control they no longer happen. I am having a relapse with the health anxiety due to actually having some health issues and pain atm, but thankfully the feelings in my head haven’t come back. It sometimes still manifests itself in strange ways and I’ll feel like I can’t feel my right hand or arm (always the right side weirdly) and I become hyper aware of any bodily sensations which is horrible. But it is anxiety, and the symptoms of anxiety/panic attacks aren’t always heart racing and hyperventilating. Sounds weird but try talking back to yourself in your head and telling yourself that it’s anxiety and nothing is happening with your body. This brings me down then if the strange sensation is still there, I’ll give it some attention as a separate thing. Hope this makes sense!

Omg 😬 I’m so sorry! my first panic attack I didn’t know what it was either. I felt really dizzy and couldn’t breath very well. I thought that I was going to pass out so I started to take deep breaths, and deep breaths turned into hyperventilation. I didn’t know this but when you hyperventilate it expels all the carbon dioxide out of your blood stream 87478 causing all of your outer extremities to curl in or seize up. This is what happened to me going 75mph down the freeway. My feet felt like cinder blocks and I couldn’t feel them so breaking and using the gas pedal was super exaggerated! My hands curled into my wrists so I had to drive with my four arms. i thought I was for sure dying. 😅 I should have died how I was driving. Finally I got stopped and had someone call 911

I think I had a panic attack two days ago? I’m not sure. But I felt weak and shaky and scared all of a sudden for no apparent reason. It only lasted for a couple of minutes. If there’s anything this app has taught me, it’s that these things take all sorts of forms, so I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s valid either way. ❤️

Same here! I didn't even realize that's what it was for a while, since it's more like everything slows down to the point that the surrounding world is a carousel stuck on warpspeed and you just know its about to fly off the track at any moment, but understanding anything else in this suddenly alien world is about as hard as getting words out, which is apparently 100/10.

Yes. It’s an odd experience. Do you get hallucinations?

no but I have a feeling of losing my mind like I might be crazy . Sometimes I have an intense feeling I'm going to hear voices or see something but I'm guessing that's intrusive thoughts
