last night I had an episode that started with overstimulation and as it progressed/time went on, all these sensations and emotions dumped into my brain and I couldn't differentiate anything. I don't hear or see things in my mind but I still sense it. felt like everything was happening at once, I became irritated, scared, overwhelmed. nothing would stop it and I could barely get out the name of my anxiety meds. all I could do was quiver and cry and scratch every random itch that appeared and just hope it stops. what the heck is that? it was terrifying and I wanna be able to explain it to a doctor or therapist in a way that makes sense

Also considering you’re autistic, it might have just been a sensory meltdown depending on the severity. My sensory meltdowns usually look like panic attacks.

Sounds like sensory overload. They can happen to anyone. They’re common in times of high stress or in people who have sensory issues.
It felt very different from my usual panic attacks so I'm skeptical about that but maybe
sounds like maybe sensory overload that triggered a panic attack
