Is there a way I can slowly overcome my depression? It feels like I'll never overcome it

Meditation really helped me. I like the balance app, and the 5 minute refocus ones helped me. Therapy too, but make sure that you don't continue with a therapist who doesn't get you. As a poc, the first therapist I interacted with was focused on trying to blame all my issues on my parents heritage

Some things that can help with depression are exercise, healthy eating, maintaining good hygiene, socializing, sunlight, medication, therapy, avoiding substance use, and drinking enough water.

Taking (the right one for you) prescribed medication helped me to be able to think better about my mental health issues. It makes dealing with them a bit easier.

I think also just getting into the habit of doing things rhat do make u feel even .1% better. I used to go like a week without showering/ washing my face, and for me, just making it something my body does on autopilot and then working on viewing it as self care while cleaning myself helps
