@Louise123 yes, you've got the right idea. Best wishes to you. This IS manageable and treatable with behavioral change. You can do this. Google mindful breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, look up yoga positions to reduce anxiety, find exercises you can do to get your body moving, go outside. The more senses you engage the more you will get your mind off your anxiety and into the present moment.

Mindfulness meditation helps me. I focus on my breath. Thoughts may arise but once I notice I am not thinking about my breath I go back to it. Progressive muscle relaxation and exercise also help. For me, it all depends on where the anxiety is. If I notice it is more in my thoughts then I know it's important to do things with the body. Its about getting out of the head and into the body. If I notice I am holding anxiety in my body I will still do things like mindful breathing, but I will also focus on my thoughts. Anxiety works like a feedback loop between the brain and body so you have to find where it is coming from and then you can figure out how to interview. Seeing a mental health professional for more tips helps too.
