Out of Meds and Frustrated with the System

My poor pharmacists are understaffed and over worked and I have been spending a lot of time calling doctors on their behalf to get things moving, but I have been out of my meds for 3 days now because my doctor has not refilled the persription and I am suffering. I don't really have any specific questions just wanted commiseration.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. My pharmacy is the same but (understaffed & over worked) but they & my drs are very good about making sure I don't go without meds. Perks of small town living I suppose. Idk how you're getting thru a day without this particular medicine. I lost my ins once & couldn't afford it and by day 3 I had the worst withdrawals ever! But I also take 2 pills, one 150mg & one 75mg. I finally called my Dr and she was able to get the pharmacy to get me a tremendous discount. I never want to feel like that again!

That is really frustrating. And also potentially dangerous. I accidentally missed a dose of Duloxetine a couple of weeks ago and really spiraled. Of course, everyone reacts differently. Does your pharmacy provide emergency doses? Like 3 days’ worth to tide you over?

I don't know, but that's good to look into.

Oh jeez I hope you get your meds soon, I know if I go too long without my Cymbalta, I start to get sick

All health professionals are suffering right now Covid did a number on people in the front lines. Nurses and pharmacists and other medical workers are few are far between I saw something on the news about it and patients are the ones who are the most affected unfortunately we have to be are own advocates now more than ever hang in there everyone hopefully time will help with the healing process

😥 I understand, medicine (s) are getting harder than ever to renew. I wish you the best of luck.
