Opinions on Mirtazapine for Depression?

What do people think of Mirtazapine to help with depression I have only just started them and just thought I would ask what others think about them? Sertraline was making me feel a lot worse.

I loved mirtazapine but my provider used it mostly for anxiety. It worked great for that. It didn't help me significantly with depression. I used duloxetine or fluoxetine for that mostly even though they work for anxiety too.

I have been on 30ml for roughly 10 year's and it does make me sleep better but I've tried a few attempts to stop taking it and I felt the worst I've ever felt in my life and I feel hungry constantly even when I've just finished a meal

It's definitely helping with my sleep and less anxiety. It can take up to three months for any medication to work. I keep a journal every morning to keep track of how I'm feeling. It takes time, hang in there. I haven't noticed any weird side effects.
