I've been on the omnipod since the beginning this year and the change has been so positive for me! It's my first insulin pump ever, I was diagnosed when I was 7 in 2001. I refused insulin pumps and CGMs for the longest time. I had this psychological block like if I had some device attached to me that I wouldn't be able to detach myself from my condition (which I was definitely guilty of trying to accomplish many times throughout my life.) Finally I just couldn't take it anymore - as an adult, the lethargy and nausea and weakness I felt on a daily basis from poor glucose control just took such a bigger bite out of me than it did when I was younger. I started dexcom at the end of 2020 (maybe a little later but that's when I finally decided to go for it). Then at the beginning of this year I opted for omnipod as it was tubeless and a coworker of mine has it and I was amazed to see how unimposing it was in size on her body. My only complaint is the obnoxious alarms on both the pump itself and from the device. I wish I could reliably silence it but the alarms have a mind of their own and sometimes I even have to destroy the pod after I take it off because it won't stop screaming (REALLY!!!!! LOUD.) Other than that I love that I can give myself boluses up to a hundredth of a unit and if I need to take an additional bolus to cover extra carbs eaten the device will adjust the bolus so the insulin I already have on board doesn't double up and make me low
