Obsessing Over My OCD

do you guys ever have the obsession that your ocd isn’t actually real and that you are just making it up and you had just convinced yourself that it was real? and then compulsions to look up ocd symptoms or research for hours if you are making it up? so frustrating 😳

All the dang time. And I’ll obsess over doubting my other conditions too. When I brought this up to my therapist, she told me it’s a really common symptom of OCD lol….so when it happens I just try to remind myself of that.

I do! It’s very exhausting to go around and around in my head like that, and then feeling like a fraud when my symptoms aren’t as severe as others.

I've been diagnosed by a psychiatrist and I regularly feel that I've just convinced both myself and them that I have OCD. But I guess a psychiatrist knows what they're doing, right?
