Obsessed with Staying in Bed: Is it Normal?

I’m obsessed with staying in bed in the dark. I finally feel normal when I do. I could do this forever.

Absolutely. It's natural: wake and work in the daylight; relax and sleep at night

You should check out light blocking bed tents they’re so great

Agreed. But also it’s so hard to get out of the bed in am bc there’s no sun to waken to

Is there a reason you prefer that? Do you live in your own world? Or do you just prefer not being around people and being in the dark? I have light sensitivities so I hardly ever have the lights on but I also live on my own so I don’t feel confined to my room due to people. But I used to always be in my room away from others. But I was also maladaptive daydreaming. I’d much rather be in my own world than the real one lol I’ve gotten better because it was interfering with eating showering and going to the bathroom. So I’ve had some counseling for it

I just feel safe and more comfortable in my room. I too have light sensitivity.
