When you stay in one position (i.e standing, laying down, or sitting) for too long, do your legs and arms go numb? You feel as if you are paralyzed but you can still move?

This happens to me during sleep. I don’t like sleeping on my back, so I always end up on one side. When I wake up, that side is dead. Pins and needles.
