Numb Fingers and a Frustrating ER Visit

Do you have a primary doctor who's trying to help you out? Is it the hand you write with, brush your teeth with, etc.? If it is then your doctor should more reason to help you because it really affects your quality of life.

call the doctor who scheduled/referred your CT scan. it's possible insurance thinks it's not necessary since your bones are fine and insurance companies don't like spending money they don't absolutely have to. ask for a peer to peer review of your claim. you might just have to fight a little harder to get a CT scan, but I can tell you right now that unless something major and visible to the naked eye shows up, getting an MRI without having a prior x-ray and CT scan will be nigh on impossible if insurance is already fighting you about getting a CT scan done

I have lots of nerve issues in my arms and that sounds like your ulnar nerve is getting pinched or restricted in some way. I had numbness and tingling in my pinky and the side of my ring finger next to my pinky that eventually developed into pain. It was very similar to when I had carpal tunnel syndrome and had to have carpal tunnel release done. I don't know what the surgery was called but they did basically the same thing on the outside of my wrist to relieve the pressure on my ulnar nerve. The nerve can also be pinched by your elbow. I would suggest talking about that with an orthopedic physician, that's who helped me.

I don't know if you have a chiropractor somewhere that takes your insurance or is cheap but some people use them

Also it could be from the neck area that affects your arm. Because when I've been so far down my right arm starts numbing up and right now I'm doing PT for my left arm and they give me some exercises to supposed to help both

Pinched nerve in forearm possibly. Happens to me at least 🤷🏻‍♀️ try massaging where the bones meet the elbow. All around that joint and into the largest part of the forearm. Hope it helps 🤗 good luck!
