The off label use of gabapentin is for fibro pain. Cymbalta is an anti-depressant but with pain relieving properties. Pain relief doesn't have to come from something that is only labeled for pain relief. It can come from many different sources.

I was on gabapentin for many yrs and just switched to Lyrica. I also take Cymbalta and methocarbamol.
