Weird Feeling When I See Flashing Lights

So I have this weird thing that happens when I see flashing lights where I get like this unsettling feeling in my head and I get pressure and just feel like my eyes feel strange I don’t really know how to describe it but I just have to block it out or I feel like total crap. I don’t know what epilepsy would feel like of course so not sure if it’s something related along those lines or maybe a migraine with sensitivity to light? I do get headaches afterward. Have any of you had something like this or maybe be able to help me know what to do next? It’s been happening for like a decade now it hasn’t gotten worse over the years but just since I was a teen has been an issue so I try to avoid flashing lights.

Sounds very similar to my auras, which can lead to a seizure. Have these episodes ever led to a seizure for you?

I have these similar feelings when I am seeing flickering lights, hearing alarms and smell unnatural sents like perfume. Not to the point induces Grand-mal seizures (the stereotypical kind), and my family has migraines running their family but my migraines are totally different from yours so I was wondering if it's actually migraines in my case or something else. Especially since some people told me that migraines usually don't happen every day for a small amount of time. I was wondering if it could be focal seizures, but I am not sure if you could be diagnosed if you're only kind of seizures not usually caught unless you're having it then and there. I never got tested for ether possiblity so I am not sure what is going on.

Hey, I have similar symptoms and I have epilepsy. It can be hard to describe the feelings that come from flashing lights. I would recommend seeing a neurologist, just know that it can be difficult to diagnose sometimes. When I'm in an environment with flashing lights, like a concert, I wear sunglasses to lessen the intensity of the lights and don't look directly at them when possible.

Maybe check with doctor about medince can help with that. I used have same thing happened. I stay in my house. Slowly worked my way up to flashing lights and other lights. Also sometimes taking over contuer drug can help with that. Get home soon u can. So u don't sezie or faint. Best of Luck to u.

Do you feel it any specific time? After any activity? Where is it located? I have migraines which feel a lot like your description.
